Ways to stay safe

If you are mild to moderately sick, health officials at the Health Department and Munson ask that you please stay home and take care of yourself.  For conditions that can be classified as more severe and would require a healthcare visit, please follow this process:

Again, IF you are moderately to mildly sick – just stay home.
Use telemedicine whenever possible.
Call your healthcare provider before you go into the office.
Do NOT go to the Emergency Room unless you are sick enough to require emergency care.
Your primary care provider will give you direction regarding testing.
A doctor’s order is REQUIRED for COVID-19 testing.

What do Social Distancing Measures mean?

Stay at least six feet away from others when in a public setting
Replace handshakes with elbow bumps
If you are sick, stay home, and avoid contact with others
Avoid contact with people who are sick
Help a neighbor, not your neighborhood

We still want to keep our community healthy. What can you do?

Maintain healthy habits like going for walks, exercising, eating healthy, etc.
Maintain your daily routine while balancing the needs of our community to help limit the spread of the disease

The Grand Traverse County Senior Center Network has connected with at-risk senior citizens.  Meals are being delivered. A focused team is meeting today to identify additional options and needs, with phone calls being made to the most at-risk senior citizens.
