GTCHD alerts of upcoming construction at NMC’s Hagerty Center vaccination clinic

The Grand Traverse County Health Department (GTCHD) is alerting those coming to Northwestern Michigan College’s (NMC) Hagerty Center for a COVID-19 vaccination of construction plans that will affect entry and exit to the building.

Starting on May 3, 2021, construction will begin at the main entrance of NMC’s Hagerty Center, extending south toward E. Front St and inhibiting the circle drive and walkway into the building. Those arriving for their COVID-19 vaccinations are encouraged to park immediately west and east of the building and use the walkway alongside the Grand Traverse Bay that leads to the waterfront courtyard. The new entrance into the building is only accessible by following those paths. The construction is expected to last the duration of the clinic.

For those that are mobility restricted, the west parking lot offers handicap parking. Or if you have a previously scheduled appointment or are planning on attending a walk-in clinic at the NMC’s Hagerty Center and have mobility restrictions, please email gtcovidvaccine@gtcountymi.gov for accommodations. If anyone is in need of a wheelchair upon arrival, a member of the GTCHD will bring one out.
